What is a non-transaction account?

What is a non transaction account? What changed that would cause a users account to be deemed non-transactional?

In most cases, a non-transaction account is a savings account. Unlike checking accounts, most savings accounts have only a set amount of ACH transactions that are allowed to occur, after which the banks put a halt on further transactions. As a result, if a user is making ACH transactions from a savings account, after a certain point the account may become a non transactional account and the user will receive returns for transactions made from the account.
